Incorporated into any initial examination or subsequent evaluations, is a Surface EMG (SEMG) and Thermography spinal evaluation. This utilizes the most current computerized technology that Chiropractic can offer to examine the spine and identify spinal problems. The testing is painless and relatively quick! During post-examination visits, written reports of findings include picture reports of the computer examination results.

A surface EMG is a machine which measures small amounts of electricity and heat from the surface of the body. A computer interprets the information gathered by the EMG and gives a reading of the information. The EMG measures the muscles on the sides of your spine to determine if one side is more active than another. One side may be overactive or one side may not be active enough. This is a safe and easy way to gather information regarding your problem. The surface EMG shows the location of muscle spasms and the severity of muscle spasms.
